They actually like cool weather, and in many growing zones, you can get them established in late summer or fall, protect them through the winter, and enjoy flowers weeks earlier in spring.
But figuring out what to plant, when to plant it, and how to keep it alive through winter can feel a little intimidating.
So this year, let's figure it out together.

Meet Me in the Garden
I'm Cassie, the flower farmer and seed grower behind Jig-Bee Flower & Seed Company in Vermont.
I've been flower farming for 10 years, and I'm still experimenting, learning, killing a few things, and figuring out what works.
That's one of my favorite things about growing flowers—there's always something new to try.
I don't have all the answers, but I love sharing what I'm learning and figuring things out together.
